Justin I Young

“I’m often asked, “What is Art?” My answer is simple. “It is the representation of the people, places and things that touch the imagination of your life. It can be realistic or abstract-but we all have an emotional spirit. My purpose is to touch yours.”

From his birthplace on the high plains of Colorado to the plains of Africa and beyond, artist Justin Young has sought to bring the magic of the natural world to the collectors of his paintings and bronze sculptures.

While receiving a degree in Wildlife biology from Colorado State University, Justin was also juried into the Fine Art Department and received formal training in the classical techniques of drawing, painting, and design. Although Justin’s reputation as an artist is built on his work with wildlife subjects, he is also well established as a master portrait artist.

Justin’s work can be found in private and public collections worldwide, and is collected by private collectors, celebrities, museums, and corporations. His works have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for many charities including, Safari Club, The Foundation for North American Wild Sheep, Ducks Unlimited, Quail Unlimited, The Wild Turkey Federation, Pheasants Forever, The Elk Foundation, The One-Shot Antelope Foundation, The Flagship Foundation, Cancer Run for The Cure, Hospice, and the Colorado shelter for abused women.

Collections: Mr. Peter Coors (Adolph Coors Company), Baxter Black (Cowboy Humorist & Author), Mr. Bob Marcotte, (Past President of Ducks Unlimited), Mr. Alejandro Garza Lagurera, (Ducks Unlimited Mexico), Mr. Philip Anschutz, (The Anschutz Corporation), Mr. Ed Podalak, (NFL All Pro Running Back for Kansas City Chiefs), Mr. Glenn Frey, (Lead singer for “The Eagles” with seven gold albums), and assorted museums and state art councils..
